Was there ever a NATO-like anti-Riga alliance in the West? Benkarnell 20:35, 21 December 2011 (PST)

I believe there was some sort of Cold War between Snorist Russia and the CSDS, so perhaps there was a communist military alliance and not a NATO-like organisation made of so-called western nations. Instead direct conflict both alliances would face each other indirectly (see History of Filipinas#The Rise of SNORIST Filipinas and the Reunification War for example), a similar situation to which existed *here* between NATO and the Warsaw Pact which made or suported wars against each other in the others' countries (Korea, Vietnam, Angola and so on).--Pedromoderno 17:57, 23 December 2011 (PST)
There are / have been a number of "Leagues" that may or may not answer to a NATO-like organisation. See Conculture message #34599 for one example, the Pontic League. Also for what it's worth, the various regional bodies within the LoN were intended to act in some ways similar to NATO, should tensions of a militaristic nature arise somewhere. This is almost certainly what happened, for example, during the Florida War. Elemtilas 05:57, 8 January 2012 (PST)
