I'm really excited for this proposal. Misterxeight 11:48, 9 October 2015 (PDT)

Do make sure that you replace it with a "sister city" owned by Canton in Portugal. This is How Things Are Done, *there*. BoArthur 12:00, 9 October 2015 (PDT)

You know, the Chinese might want a city located on Madeira or the Azores because it might make a great refueling station for Chinese ships on the way to W. Africa or the Eastern seaboard. Misterxeight 12:50, 9 October 2015 (PDT)

Alright then. I was thinking that Canton would have some sort of access to the Port of Lisbon, basically a "Cantonese Quarter" similar to the one in Copenhagen or to the Samrazji enclave in Esca. What do you think? (Also, why doesn't Hong Kong have a reciprocal? Or does it?) Juan Martin Velez Linares 17:28, 09 October 2015 (CDT)
Wait a minute... Do the Chinas use the Mandala system? *Here* it says on Wikipedia that Macau was tributary up to about 1863... Perhaps *there* Portugal never stopped paying tribute and Canton is their overlord? Juan Martin Velez Linares 17:54, 09 October 2015 (CDT)
Based on what I just read, that would be a yes. BoArthur 16:06, 9 October 2015 (PDT)
Ah, alright then. Tributary it is then! (Dearie me, I've been using that phrase a lot lately) Juan Martin Velez Linares 17:44, 09 October 2015
