Gwaell, so if I understand correctly, you're going to detail how Oregonian spelling came to be - not make changes to the orthography as such? Benkarnell 16:15, 4 May 2020 (PDT)
- I found the samples inconsistent, and so I standardised them. I will preserve the variations I saw as previous iterations of the orthography. --Gwaell 18:13, 4 May 2020 (PDT)
- Ah, I had missed that you edited the Oregonian Main Page. I'm not entirely comfortable with you undoing Padraic's work. It wasn't a random or thoughtless project on his part, it was an intentional con-orthography that he created, with inconsistencies chosen with reasons. Changes on that scale seem almost like going in and re-working Brithenig to make corrections. In general, people's conlang content doesn't get touched after they step away from the project. - I appreciate the concern. I will revert my changes. --Gwaell 09:38, 5 May 2020 (PDT)
- Wait. Looking back at the samples before I changed them they still seem to be using different orthographies. Would you like me to rewrite the other samples according to the spelling rules of Padraic's original main page? --Gwaell 09:41, 5 May 2020 (PDT)
- Are you referring to samples beyond the Main Page, or inconsistencies within the Main Page itself? Benkarnell 08:20, 6 May 2020 (PDT)
- I have seen 4 samples. The one on the Main Page, the one on English#English as a World Language, the one on Oregon, and the one on the old Oregonian flag. Before I edited them, they all seemed to be employing different orthographies. For example, the one on the main page did not use hard or soft signs, while the one on the English page did. --Gwaell 08:42, 6 May 2020 (PDT)
