- Strange. Well, perhaps a matter of caching. No problem, because I guess *our* FDR is not the same guy as *their* FDR, so he'll probably look different, too. Pity, because I quite like his appearance!

- It hadn't been touched upon, but the Wilson-stand-in was a Progressive Conservative, while their successor was Conservative Democrat. I'd suggested his immediate predecessor was a Whig, and had begun the kind of reforms that *here* we associate with the "New Deal." So it seemed to follow. After GW1 and GW2 there was a change of party, which is generally what happened in XXth century US. And it seems to me the Whigs are probably the most malleable party in the NAL simply because they are the oldest, having out-lived the Confederalist and Conservative Democrats.
