Something occurs to me about *there* as opposed to *here*, about how IB has managed to avoid many of the worst things about our history. No Holocaust. Slavery ended in America without a war. Lord knows the Middle East is a quieter, happier place. But the darkness (for lack of a better word) of the human condition takes different forms. A great war lasts twice as long. Multiple atomic weapons used. Political unrest and war across North America. And this episode...! Zahir 13:50, 26 November 2006 (PST)
