Is the Yucatán part of Mejico *there*, or is it a separate Protectorate, part of Chiapas, a distinct nation or something else? I ask because *here*, the Yucatán declared independance several times, and on one occassion the native Mayans rebelled, attempting to throw out the Europeans Nik 14:04, 16 Feb 2005 (PST)

Well, I have not thought about it. AFAIK, nobody has propossed an independent Yucatan, so it might be part of Mejico, Chiapas, Central America, former Florida Caribbea, NAL, or independent.

For the time being I have assumed Mejico. It might be another Castilian Protectorade, also.
