Fisticuffs broke out in the Assembly of Fijian Polynesia today between Delegate Aufai Tuia, representing the Tokelauan islands of Nukunonu and Atafu, and Delegate Mamea Va'ai, from Upolu in Samoa. Tuia had just stepped down from the dais, where he had formally announced Tokelau's decision to withdraw from the Fijian dependency, which consists of a number of island groups in the central Pacific.  Read More...
