Macao (en:Macau) is a Portuguese colony tributary to Canton located on the Pearl River Delta in southern China. It is known for its unique mixture of European and East Asian culture, its own distinct creole known as Patuá, and for its large number of casinos, which have made the colony a major tourist asset for Portugal and one of the richest cities in the world.
