Chavacano is one of the official languages of Bornei-Filipinas, and also of Malucos. It is a Castillian creole. It is mainly spoken as a majority language in Western Manila, and in Cavite, Sierra Madre, Zamboanga, Bornei, Ternate, and Ceravah. It is also used as a lingua franca.

The "dialect" of Ermita, together with the influence of Tagalog, is considered the 'standard' dialect.
