Iewan Dui is now best remembered as a natural philosopher. In 1553 he was
brought before the courts and imprisoned on the charge of conjury. On his
release he left the kingdom and spent some time at the court of Rudolf II in
Eastern Europe. He was chancellor of the university of Castreleon from 1595
until his death in 1608.
