CHARLOTTE AMALIE - Francisco Capistrano found his mother, Veronica, who was a wheel-chair user, lying in a pool of blood. Her throat had been slit open. The mother was the first victim at the family estate near Crab Island's town of Hoppesby in the Cruzan Islands. That was last summer after the referendum.
