Feast of St. Catherine | July 22 | Commemorates the finding of the saint's body in 800. |
Feast of the Transfiguration | August 19 | The patronal feast of the monastery. |
Eid al-Adha | 10-13 Dulhija (8/21/18) | Honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of submission to God's command. Only the 13th is a legal holiday. |
