Šiaulių apskritis was one of the apskritys of Lithuania during the interwar period. Its capital was Šiauliai. It as well included the only Lithuanian port city of the time, Rūkuvos Uostas.
Relatively large part of the population (the western part of the apskritis) was Skuodian, which led to the establishment of military rule in 1937. Šiaulių apskritis was the last apskritis of the mainland Lithuania to be conquered by Russia.
