George Xanthis was the mastermind behind the aquiring of the land now known as The Greek Republic of Ethiopia. Xanthis is arguably the equivalent of Cecil Rhodes to *there's* Greece.

George was born 26 May, 1853 in Ioannina/Giánnena, Greece to poor farmers.
