1) Thank you for your effort. 2) can you explain the design thoughts and strategies? 3) I had always thought they'd lean toward something akin to The Banners? 4) Weighing in because of my vested interest in Yanbian (얀뱐)

Actually they are inspired by Hunan in the old Ill Bethisad flags page.

If you notice, the design was based in *here's* Manchukuo flag. It was supposed to replace the old Dragon flag but was rejected. Manchurian nationalists later re-purposed the flag as their own.

They are related to the Banners and the Green Standard. Ethnicity also counts: green means Chinese, white means Russian, red meant Japanese, blue meant Mongol, black means Korean.
